Monumental news for Hollywood, and movie-goers,  Ava DuVernay is set to take the director’s seat in a live-action film with a budget exceeding $100 million. DuVernay herself won  Sundance’s best director prize; was the first black female director nominated for a Golden Globe;  and the first black female director with a film nominated for a Best Picture Oscar.  Her budget for the upcoming film is “A Wrinkle in Time.” Stay tuned.
