Trinidad Benham, with over 100 years of history, is opening a new facility in the City of Industry and we are currently hiring for Machine Operators. WE ARE WILLING TO TRAIN. We are also looking for Packers and Machine Operator Assistants. Come join our team!

The Machine Operator is responsible for efficiently operating packaging machinery to produce various products according to customer specifications. We are looking for first shift/ day shift Operators!

Essential Functions:
Read and understand the daily production schedule and material requirements.
Transport needed packaging materials to the production area.
Set-up and operate packaging equipment with correct materials and products based on order specifications. Stack finished product onto pallets where required.
Meet daily production requirements.
Perform periodic quality control checks to ensure the product is being packaged according to customer requirements (including checking end and back seals, and date codes).
Perform efficient changeovers as required per production schedules
When changing product variety, we must follow pre-set guidelines and change out filtering screens based on product variety/size. Set, adjust, and periodically check the flow of products through a foreign materials machine. Check magnet for any foreign materials and document and report as required.
Accurately complete and maintain required documentation on the product, materials/supplies, output, and machine downtime.
Troubleshoot minor packaging problems and make appropriate adjustments to equipment.
Communicate with Maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs.
Comply with company safety policies and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.

Requirements:
HS Diploma or GED.
Must be able to meet daily production requirements.
Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to perform basic math skills.
Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisory, and management personnel.
Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.
Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel.
